About Diane

My name is Diane Duncan, and I am working towards becoming a registered counseling associate based in Portland, Oregon. In June of 2026 I will complete a Master’s degree in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from Portland State University, and I am an adult diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD.

Why Neurodivergent Fleet Counseling Exists

I created Neurodivergent Fleet Counseling in response to a world where too many people are expected to navigate alone—or are handed maps that were never designed for them. My work is grounded in the belief that you are not broken or wrong. Sometimes we just need a little extra help when the world isn’t designed for us.

Who Do I Work With?

I work with neurodivergent adults. Neurodivergence is what we call it when an individual’s brain isn’t wired like the majority of people expect it to be. Neurodivergence can be developmental, like in the cases of Autism Spectrum Disorder or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Neurodivergence can be acquired through trauma, such as in the case of Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Mostly I am here for people navigating environments that feel confusing, hostile, or exhausting. My background includes training in intimate partner and sexual violence advocacy, as well as experience supporting clients in accessing accommodations and external supports.

In our work together, you remain the captain of your own life. My role is not to steer for you, but to help you read the map, understand your vessel, and navigate in a way that actually works for you.
