Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapy for Adults

In-person counseling in Portland and telehealth throughout Oregon for autistic and ADHD adults navigating trauma, burnout, shame, relationship difficulties and systems that were not designed for them.

You are a whole person

You are more than a diagnosis, a collection of symptoms, or a list of things you struggle with. Your brain, body, history, relationships, identities, values, strengths, and environment all shape how you experience the world. Therapy should make room for all of you. It should not ask you to hide or separate parts of yourself to be easier to understand.

Together we can explore what is creating distress, reduce shame, and develop supports that work with your brain and actual life.

You might be in the right place if:

  • You have spent years feeling like you are failing at things that seem easy for everyone else.

  • You are exhausted from masking, overcompensating, or trying to make yourself appear more “normal.”

  • You are autistic, have ADHD, are struggling with the after-math of trauma, or exploring whether your may be neurodivergent.

  • Trauma, burnout, relationship abuse, or chronic invalidation has left you feeling disconnected from yourself.

  • You want practical support without being treated like a problem that needs to be fixed.

How I can help:

Therapy with me is collaborative, affirming, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. Together, we can work on understanding your nervous system, reducing shame, processing trauma, setting boundaries, navigating relationships and systems, and building a life that fits who you actually are.

You will not be expected to make eye contact, communicate in a neurotypical way, perform therapy “correctly,” or disclose painful experiences before you are ready.
